OK-Share Statewide Library Card

OK-Share is a program that allows current St. Gregory's University students, faculty, and staff to borrow library materials from other participating college and university libraries statewide.

Getting an OK-SHARE Card

Current St. Gregory's University students, faculty, or staff can get an OK-SHARE Card at the James J. Kelly Library reference desk.

If you are unable to come to the James J. Kelly Library, please contact the library at 405-878-5111.

Using an OK-Share Card

To borrow material from a cooperating academic library, present your OK-Share card at the circulation desk of the lending library. Participating libraries may require additional identification, such as driver's license.

Each library sets its own lending policies for OK-Share patrons, so your borrowing privileges may differ from those at the James J. Kelly library.

Materials borrowed from other libraries using an OK-Share card must be returned by their due date to the lending library.  The borrower is responsible for any fines or fees charged by the lending library.

Expiration of OK-Share Cards

Expired OK-Share cards will not be honored.

A Student OK-SHARE Card is valid for the current semester only, but will be reissued each semester with current SGU ID.

A Faculty or Staff Share Card is valid for the current academic year, and can be reissued each year with valid SGU ID.

Borrowing from SGU with an OK-Share Card

Unaffiliated (non-SGU) Students, Faculty, and Staff can contact the library at their college or university and ask for an OK-Share card.

Borrowers from other institutions who use OK-Share cards at SGU may borrow up to 4 items for four weeks, and may renew those items for an additional 4 weeks, if necessary. Overdue items are fined $.10 a day for a maximum fine of $5.00.

If books are not returned, there is a $5.00 non-refundable fine plus a minimum $25.00 lost book replacement fee and a $10.00 lost book processing fee. All fines can be avoided by returning items before they become due.  Please return items to the Library Service Desk or in the after-hours book depository on the second floor landing in the west stairway of Benedictine Hall.
