Computer Use Policy

The computers in the library are provided for the purpose of library research. Computers are intended to be used for accessing the library catalog, databases, electronic journals & books, and to use the internet for research related purposes. Therefore, excessive recreational or personal use of the computers unrelated to information gathering is inappropriate.

Computers in the library have the following priority use:

1. Library Catalog Use

2. Research Using Library Resources (EBSCOhost)

3. Research on the Internet

4. Homework and Typing papers

5. Email

When others are waiting to use a computer for library research, individuals using computers for recreational purposes such as email, chat, etc., or who are using the computer only as a place to study or type papers will be asked to give up the computer.
