Connecting from Off-Campus

About Off-Campus Access

Access to certain electronic resources is restricted to current SGU faculty, staff and students. To get to the Library's subscription databases, e-journals and e-books when you are off-campus, you will need to log in to the library's proxy server.

Using the Proxy Server

Off-campus (remote) access to the library's electronic resources is provided through our proxy server using EZProxy software.  You may need to configure your web browser in order to use it. See our troubleshooting page for browser configuration instructions.  For additional help with off-campus access, see our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Logging In from Off-Campus

If you are off campus, and you click a link to a database, article, e-book or e-journal from the library's website, you will be prompted to log in to the proxy server.

  • CAS & CWA Students: Login using your last name as your username and your 9-digit SGU ID number as your password.

For example:

username: yourlastname
password: 123456789

Your SGU ID number is the 9-digit number located on your SGU ID Card.  Upon enrollment at the University, all CAS & CWA students are assigned a St. Gregory’s University ID number.  If you are a new student or have a new ID number, you may need to contact the library to be added to our system.

  • Faculty/Staff:  Login using your SGU email username and password.

After logging in, you will be directed automatically to the desired resource.

Once you have logged in, you will have access to the library's electronic resources while your browser session is open. If you start using a different browser or after 90 minutes of inactivity, you will have to log in again.

If you have any problems please see the library's Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.  If additional assistance is needed, feel free to call the library at 405.878.5111 or email us.
