Connecting from Off-Campus

About Off-Campus Access

Access to certain electronic resources is restricted to current SGU faculty, staff and students. To get to the Library's subscription databases, e-journals and e-books when you are off-campus, you will need to log in to the library's proxy server.

Using the Proxy Server

Logging In from Off-Campus

If you are off campus, and you click a link to a database, article, e-book or e-journal from the library's website, you will be prompted to log in to the proxy server.

    CAS & CCS Students: Login using your last name as your username and your 9-digit SGU ID number as your password.


For example:

username: yourlastname
password: 123456789

    Faculty/Staff:  Login using your e-mail username and password.



    For example:

    username: username (do not add the
    password: emailpassword

After logging in, you will be directed automatically to the desired resource.

Once you have logged in, you will have access to the library's electronic resources while your browser session is open. If you start using a different browser or after 90 minutes of inactivity, you will have to log in again.
